The journey begins with a departure from Paris by bus. After a brief rest stop, you’ll reach Omaha Beach, one of the five beaches where the historic Normandy landings took place during World War II. For an hour and a half, your guide will lead you through this pivotal site, sharing insights into its strategic role in Europe’s liberation. You’ll have the opportunity to see the moving memorial sculptures that honor the soldiers who sacrificed their lives and learn about the key events that unfolded here on June 6, 1944.

Following your visit to Omaha Beach, the tour heads to Mont Saint-Michel, a fortified island crowned by a magnificent Gothic abbey dating back to the 8th century. A UNESCO World Heritage site, this stunning location is famous for its medieval architecture and breathtaking vistas. Upon arrival, you’ll have free time for lunch, with a recommended stop at La Salicorne restaurant in La Caserne, known for its delicious soufflé omelet—a local delicacy you won’t want to miss.

After lunch, if you’ve selected the option, you’ll visit the Mont Saint-Michel Abbey, a fairytale-like monument that has long been a site of pilgrimage. Explore its fascinating blend of history, spirituality, and Gothic art, and enjoy panoramic views from the terraces overlooking the surrounding tidal flats. Alternatively, take your time to wander the charming medieval streets surrounding the abbey, filled with history and culture.
