After visiting the garden, you will head to the historic district of Higashi Chaya, where visitors can stroll along cobblestone streets lined with traditional teahouses that retain the charm of the Edo period. The district is also renowned for its geishas, who keep the traditional arts alive in some of the historic teahouses.
