About the tour
Your private journey begins early in the morning with a comfortable departure from Mexico City. As you travel through the heart of Central Mexico, enjoy scenic views of rolling landscapes and traditional towns that reflect the country’s deep cultural roots.
Upon arrival in San Miguel de Allende, you will enjoy a guided walking tour of approximately 90 minutes, designed to introduce you to the city’s most iconic landmarks. Highlights include the majestic Parish of San Miguel Arcángel, the lively Main Garden, the Temple of San Francisco, the historic Casa de Allende, and the Civic Plaza. Along the way, your guide will share stories that bring to life the city’s role in Mexico’s history, including its connection to the War of Independence and the legacy of Miguel Ignacio Allende, whose statues stand outside the Municipal Palace.
You will also visit the Handicraft Market, where you can browse and purchase authentic Mexican crafts made from papier-mâché, metals, and hand-blown glass—perfect souvenirs of your visit. After the guided portion of the tour, enjoy free time to explore San Miguel at your own pace. Wander through its charming streets, visit renowned art galleries, relax in the main square, or choose from a wide variety of celebrated restaurants and local markets for lunch (not included). For breathtaking panoramic views, you may also visit a scenic viewpoint, ideal for capturing unforgettable photographs of the city’s skyline.
In the afternoon, you will regroup and begin the comfortable return drive to Mexico City, reflecting on a day immersed in art, history, and timeless beauty.
