Inside the Westminster Abbey and Houses of Parliament Exterior Tour

What you will learn
On this tour, you will find out interesting information about the role and function of MPs, Lords and key officers across Parliament. You will also discover how and why the Elizabeth Tower, the Great Clock and the Great Bell, Big Ben, were built.

Westminster Abbey
The meeting point is the entrance to Westminster Abbey, where you will begin with a short tour of the Abbey led by your expert local guide.

Outside Parliament
You will then continue to Parliament, where your guide will give an explanation outside the monument. Its grand façade offers a picturesque view, with golden spires and statues of kings reflected in the river. The palace is flanked by the Victoria Tower.

Elizabeth Tower and Big Ben
Discover the history of the Elizabeth Tower, from the first medieval clock tower built in the old Palace of Westminster to the design and construction of the present Elizabeth Tower. Big Ben has become one of the most famous images of London and one of the city's main symbols, and the Palace of Westminster has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987.
