About the tour
Day 1: Pyramids of Teotihuacan. Visit Teotihuacan, the “City of the Gods”, an impressive archaeological site where you can visit its variety of buildings, plazas, and murals, while the place is almost empty and full of a magical and mystical atmosphere, which will allow you to have a more vivid and authentic experience. Discover this more than 2,500-year-old Aztec settlement, and see its impressive monuments such as the Pyramid of the Sun, the Pyramid of the Moon, and the Palace of Quetzalpapalotl. Learn about obsidian handicraft at a traditional workshop, and enjoy a tequila tasting and a buffet lunch of Mexican food (not included in the price).
Day 2: Pre-Hispanic Mexico guided walking tour. Begin this experience at Mexico's famous National Museum of Anthropology, the most important museum of its kind in Latin America, as it houses the largest collection of Mesoamerican Pre-Hispanic Art in the world. Walk through the most relevant rooms and get the most important facts in a 2-hour tour, where you will also see the most famous pieces of the museum, such as the Stone of the Sun, the mask of King Pakal, and the Coatlicue. Later, you will go to the famous Templo Mayor, using the traditional Metrobus. You will go through the famous Alameda Park, and from here, during the walk, you will enjoy a panoramic tour of the most emblematic buildings, such as the Palace of Fine Arts, the Postal Palace, the Iturbide Palace, the House of Tiles, and Madero Street. Once at the Templo Mayor, we will see how pre-Hispanic Mexico and colonial Mexico meet, admiring the archaeological remains of the ancient Mexica temple and the emblematic colonial-era cathedral.
