About the tour

Your day begins early in the morning with private transportation to Paso de Cortés, the historic mountain pass crossed by Hernán Cortés in 1519 on his way to Tenochtitlan. Here, you’ll make a brief stop to take in breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding volcanoes and highlands.

You’ll then continue privately to La Joya, where your hike begins. From this point on, you’ll leave the vehicle behind and follow scenic mountain trails, observing how the landscape transforms as you ascend—from volcanic rock and alpine vegetation to seasonal snow and native wildlife.

The peaceful atmosphere and wide-open views of the Valley of Mexico make this experience truly special. Designed for nature lovers and adventure seekers, the hike offers countless opportunities for stunning photography and quiet moments surrounded by nature.

As you climb to elevations of up to 4,300 meters (14,100 feet) above sea level, you’ll challenge your physical limits while your private guide carefully sets the pace, monitors altitude adaptation, and ensures your safety so you can fully enjoy this unforgettable adventure.
