The tour begins at the meeting point at the entrance to Westminster Abbey. Your guide will take you through the famous building, a traditional site for the coronations and burials of the English and, later, British monarchs. Since the coronation of William the Conqueror in 1066, all English monarchs have been crowned at the Abbey, with the exception of Joan I and Edward V. You will see the numerous graves of members of the royal family, aristocrats, and distinguished figures such as scientists and poets, including those of Charles Dickens, Geoffrey Chaucer, and Rudyard Kipling. The tour continues at Parliament, where the guide will give an explanation outside and you can discover the interior on your own with an audio guide. The grand façade of the building offers a picturesque view as the golden spires and statues of kings are reflected in the river. The palace is flanked by the Victoria Tower.
