We will begin our tour in the historic center of the city, specifically in the iconic Palacio de Bellas Artes, which is considered the most important cultural venue in Mexico City. Then we will go to the Post Office and Madero Street, where you will learn about its history and the facts and curiosities of the buildings that are located here, such as the `Casa de Los Azulejos´ or an old Franciscan convent, among others.
Explore the Historic Center and Iconic Sights of Mexico City
To continue with the walk, we will visit the Zócalo, where we can admire the National Palace and the Metropolitan Cathedral of Mexico City, one of the most important buildings of Spanish-American architecture and a World Heritage Site since 1987. Then we will continue to the Templo Mayor. to visit the ruins from the outside, where our local guide will tell you all about its history.
To end this experience, we will visit the Latin American Tower, a 44-story skyscraper inspired by the ‘Empire State of New York, which has a viewpoint on the top floor from which you can admire the best views of the city. This building was the tallest in Mexico City, from its construction in 1956 until 2004. You will be able to enjoy from above if you choose this option!
